A healthy cat means that your cat is naturally healthy, energetic, happy and slim. Not thin. Slim. There is a world of difference. Feline weight management is easy when you follow natural laws.
Did you know that obesity affects more then 50% of cats in the western world? Being overweight or obese puts an enormous strain on the heart and other organs of the body. This means that not only will your cat tend to get health problems, such as painful arthritis, breathing difficulties, diabetes and cancer, along with heart and kidney problems, she is likely to have a much shorter life span.
It wasn’t long ago that cats easily lived into their twenties. Thirty was not an uncommon age. Now your are lucky if they get past ten. This testifies to the fact that there are too many obese cats.
And an unhealthy cat is also an expensive cat. Whilst all caring cat lovers always want to do the best for their beloved cat, you may not always be in the fortunate position to afford to.
How can you slim your cat down, without creating a riot, and within your means?
This may sound daunting, even impossible, but it is nowhere near as difficult as you might imagine. The biggest hurdle to overcome is you and your current way of thinking. Once you have changed your mindset, once you are firmly focussed on having not just a slim cat, but a healthy cat too, what follows is easy.
First of all, you must understand that what you have been doing up till now has been detrimental to the health of your cat. You have been following the wrong advice, otherwise you would not be here. That in itself can be a scary thought. And one which may well take you time to come to terms with. That’s OK. But don’t wait too long as the health of your cat depends on you.
Secondly, you need to realise that changing any routine is not always well tolerated by cats. In the short term, cats can make you feel terrible, when you change things, even when it is in their own interests. Don’t fret, and above all, don’t give in. Cats will always eventually accept a change when it is in their own best interest. Just don’t let them pile on the guilt!
Natural cat health is all about examining the total life situation of your cat – their living environment, their family members, their relationships, their diet, their health history, the health care you use for them and so on. Nothing is left unturned.
Changes can be made over time, to ease both you and your cat into the new way of healthy living and thinking. In the long term you can enjoy your cat being with you for many more years. And your cat can enjoy robust health. It’s the sort of win-win situtation everyone loves. Except perhaps your veterinarian!
Feline weight management is effortless when you follow nature’s guidelines.
