Commercial cat food is made by corporations. Corporations are only interested in their profit, preferably within the law of the land, but even this is not always followed. Commercial cat food mostly consists of:
- poor quality protein
- high fat content
- a high percentage of cheap carbohydrate filler
- chemicals to colour, flavour, to stimulate appetite, to restore the lacking nutrition, to make a pleasing appearance, give a long shelf life and so on
Cats need high quality protein. They don’t do well on high levels of fat. They can’t utilise carbohydrates, which can be toxic to them. Cats are extremely sensitive to chemicals and are easily knocked down by them.
By switching to a quality, natural diet, you can almost watch your cat’s health improve. After a quick de-tox period, your cat can be free of disease. By far the best protection against cat disease is by feeding a quality, natural diet, made with love.
