Cats diseases are at an all time high. Some of the most common ones now are stomatitis, diabetes, leukeamia and cancer. People who have cats are facing an increasing veterinary bill each year. Some people just can’t manage to find the extras, and tragically, give their cat up.

But this is all unnecessary. You don’t need to mortgage your house to keep your cat.

Cats diseases are booming because cats health is not being targeted. When you focus on the effect, in this case the diseases, you totally miss the point. Instead, you need to focus on the CAUSE of disease.

In a nutshell, the basic cause of any disease, in anyone, is the immune system. If your cat has a well operating, healthy immune system, she won’t catch any disease, even if she is exposed to it.

You can’t see an immune system. The only indication of its presence is by your cat’s ability to handle disease. If this is not very good, then her immune system is not operating as it should.

Let’s look at the most common reasons why your cat’s immune system is struggling.

Diet is the number one cause of lowering the immune system. Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of commercial cat food does an excellent job in promoting disease. Most of it is unnatural, nutrient poor, includes ingredients foreign to a cat and is laden with chemicals for various reasons, none of which are in your cat’s best interest.

Veterinary medication, including vaccines, all lower the immune system. Veterinary medication does not target the cause of the disease, rather it suppresses the symptoms. In turn, this lowers the immune system. Veterinary medication is also liver toxic, further lowering the immune system and making it harder for your cat to fend off disease.

Separating kittens from their mothers at too young an age, is enormously stressful for both. Depending on the sensitivity of the kitten, the effect can last their whole life.

Pet shops are the last place any animal should be kept. The focus is on selling the animal, rather than caring for the animal’s welfare. This often means poor quality food, lack of water, insufficiently regular meals for a growing kitten. This is often deliberate, to reduce the amount of urine and stool.

There is not much you can do about the latter two problems if you already have a cat. But you can redress the first two problems and see an immediate effect. By feeding your cat a quality, natural diet, you can often see an immediate response.

By using natural therapies, especially homeopathy, for those occasional problems, you are further stimulating her immune system.

Focus your attention on making your cat healthy rather than on her localised problem. Cats diseases can be a thing of the past when you take this approach.

Very good article. In this day and age we are bombarded with ads to take pills for everything. Few if any ads encourage you to practice preventative care. You talk about going after the cause and I totally agree. My wife and I own a cat boarding business and seeing some of the cats and the medication they are on is really disturbing. I’m posting a link to this article on my website and hope more cat lovers
